IBM Hard Disk Drive：
IBM is the inventor and creator of HDD, it has many patent technologies. IBM HDD has 180 GXP series and 7K250 series. The two series use aluminium alloy disk, GMR head and fluid dynamic bearing motor. The diffidence between them is that 180GXP use a single platter capacity disk of 60GB, but 7K250 use a single platter capacity disk of 80GB. Later because the repair rate of glass disk was high and other reasons, IBM HDD become fashionable for a time and then drop out of markets. Hitachi company purchase storage division of IBM.
